Walt's original theme park continues to reign as "The Happiest Place on Earth" and home to almost five decades of Disney wonder and magic.  Greet old friends like Mickey and Minnie and make new ones too!

Among the most popular of California attractions is Disneyland.  Some of the rides that have made this park popular are the Matterhorn, the Indiana Jones Adventure, and The  Tarzan Treehouse.  This theme park is rapidly growing with the additions of hotels  located on the property and new rides (such as Fantasmic, a live show featuring lasers, black lights, fireworks, and projections on a curtain of mist).  With new attractions being added, let's not forget about the timeless classics, such as Star Tours, Splash Mountain, the Haunted  Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Space Mountain.

Walt Disney once said, "I love the nostalgic myself. I hope we never lose some of the things of the past." So he created Main Street, U.S.A. to make sure we could always embrace those wonderful feelings of days gone by. From the decor in the old-time specialty shops to the music in Central Plaza to the taste of the ice cream sundaes, Main Street is pure Americana.

Main Street Tip
Main Street, U.S.A., usually opens half an hour before the rest of the park and stays open 1 hour after closing. Take advantage of this time to grab a quick breakfast, shop, or pose for photos with the Characters.

For those of us who dream of the mystery, intrigue and romance of a life far from civilization, Adventureland is the perfect playground-whether you're cruising through the African jungles, avoiding poison darts and snakes while searching for ancient artifacts, or simply sampling the tropical faire in the village shops..

Package Express Tip
When purchasing items, take advantage of Package Express and keep your hands free all day. Package Express is a free-of-charge service that can have your purchases waiting for you at the Newsstand as you exit the Park.

Even the ghosts at the Haunted Mansion will tell you this is one lively place. The hottest jazz sounds, the best in Southern cuisine, Mardi Gras souvenirs waiting to be unmasked, and attractions with timeless appeal.

Blue Bayou Tip
If you wish to eat at the Blue Bayou restaurant, make reservations at the restaurant upon entering the Park. Reservations fill up quickly, so get there early. If you are a DisneylandŽ Resort Hotels Guest, reservations for the Blue Bayou can be made 24 hours in advance at the Guest Services desk, at any of the DisneylandŽ Resort Hotels.

Brer Rabbit, his Song of the South pals and the bears from the Country Bear Playhouse call Critter Country home-but you're welcome, too. Come on in, enjoy the calming sounds of nature; sip a tasty beverage along the peaceful riverbanks; and experience a downright spectacular mountain ride that gives a whole new meaning to the word "wildlife"!

Character Photographer Tip
Let the DisneylandŽ Photographer capture you in that magical moment with Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, or Piglet outside the Country Bear Playhouse. You can purchase a five-by-seven photo for only $12.95 or an eight-by-ten for only $16.95. Of course, you are free to take as many photographs you like with your own camera.

Frontierland is a place that pulses with the energy of ideals and dreams of our forefathers. From the bustle of early transportation on the Rivers of America to the western-themed shows, shops and eateries, Frontierland celebrates the spirit and strength of the American pioneer.

Rainy Day Tip
If it rains, bring an umbrella and enjoy the Park. The lines are relatively short and you're able to see the Park from a different point of view.

Through the entrance to Sleeping Beauty Castle await the fairy-tale worlds of Snow White, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Mr. Toad, Alice and Pinocchio. Dedicated to the young at heart, Fantasyland brings to life a wonderful, magical world of make-believe; an enchanted land where dreams really do come true.

Photographer Tip
Look for the DisneylandŽ park Photographer at the entrance to the Park and in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle to get that magical memory of your day at Disneyland.

You're always welcome in this fanciful community where Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Roger Rabbit and the rest of the gang live, work and play. It's about the wackiest, looniest place you'll ever see; then again, what would you expect from Toons?!

Shoes Tip
Wear comfortable shoes!

"A World on the Move," Tomorrowland is an ever-changing expanse of technology and invention. From the pulse-pounding state-of-the-art attractions like Star Tours and Space Mountain, to the revolving education center called Innoventions, Tomorrowland is truly a tribute to the power of the human mind.

Same-day Re-entry Tip
Be sure to have your hand stamped upon exiting the park and hold on to your ticket if you plan  to return later the same day.
Map Tip
Study a map of the Park before you arrive to familiarize yourself with the layout and plot your itinerary.

It just wouldn't be Disneyland park without wonderful world-class entertainment. Whether it's a Disney Character greeting on Main Street, U.S.A., a stage show in Fantasyland or an impromptu jam session in New Orleans Square, there's always something special going on!

** Get updated information on show times, popular attraction wait times, and ride closures at the Information Board located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. across from the Plaza Pavilion. Board is updated every hour and is staffed with Cast Members who are there to answer any specific Disneyland Resort questions.
