Rail
Travel
The breathtaking
views of the countryside and villages combined with comfortable accommodations
make rail travel an enjoyable and memorable experience. Because most train
stations are located in the heart of town, travel by rail is also a very
convenient mode of transportation.
Travel by train is now a deluxe way to vacation with many trains offering
sleeper cars, dining cars and auto trains (an easy way to transport both
yourself and your vehicle).
For
your convenience, Travelers Fare, Inc. handles both domestic and international
train travel. Some of the major
international rail stations include Birmingham New Street, Charing Cross,
Edinburgh Waverly, Euston, Gatwick Airport, Glasgow Central, King’s Cross,
Leeds, Liverpool Street, London Bridge, Manchester Piccadilly, Paddington,
Victoria, and Waterloo.
Some
of the major domestic rail stations include Chicago, New York, San Francisco,
Denver, Boston, New Orleans, and San Antonio.
For more information on traveling via train view the following
information or feel free to contact one of our Travel Professionals.

Arrive early.
It is usually recommended to arrive at the station at least 30 minutes before
your train is scheduled to depart.
Once you check your
bags you won't have access to them so be sure to pack everything you need to
have with you in a smaller suitcase and bring it with you on board.
Be
prepared to capture the countryside with your camera (load your camera with high
speed film) or video recorder.
Bring
an extra sweater or sweatshirt as some lounge cars are kept extra cool for
comfort.
Some
cities have more than one train station - be sure to check what station
you are departing from/arriving at.
If
you are bringing extra cargo (such as a bicycle) they may have to be paid for
and reserved in advance on the train. Check with your travel agent for
specific details.
